Shipping Policy

We deliver right across New Zealand — courier to your door, or free pickup from either Auckland showroom.

Free shipping over $359

New Zealand orders over $359 ship free. Terms and conditions apply:

  • Excludes 3-in-1 units, 230V/48V light tracks, LED Mirrors, and LED Garden Light Ball & Cube. These are always charged delivery, even when the rest of your order qualifies.
  • Items must be in stock (not pre-order) and placed in one order.
  • Rural delivery and Waiheke Island are not covered by the free-shipping offer — a standard rural/remote fee applies.
  • If items are returned or exchanged, shipping is at the customer's cost. For change-of-mind returns, the standard shipping rate is deducted from your refund.

Rural and Waiheke Island addresses. Our checkout can't always tell whether an address is rural or on Waiheke, so it may still show free or standard shipping. If a rural or island fee applies, we'll email you the amount for approval before we dispatch — you'll never be charged extra without being asked first.

For orders under $359, and for the excluded items above, delivery is calculated at checkout from your address. You'll always see the exact amount before you pay.

Quote for combined shipping

At checkout you'll also see “Quote for combined shipping — we'll email you with the shipping cost.” Choose this if you'd rather we work out the real freight cost for your order.

  • You pay for your lights now. No delivery charge is taken at checkout.
  • We measure and pack your order, get an actual freight price, and email it to you.
  • Once you approve the amount, we send a separate invoice for delivery and dispatch your order.

This is usually the better option for large or bulky items, multi-item orders that can travel in one carton, and rural or island addresses.

Dispatch & delivery times

Dispatch
In-stock orders are packed and sent within 1–2 business days.
Delivery
Most NZ urban addresses arrive 2–5 business days after dispatch. Rural and remote areas may take a little longer.
Courier
Delivered to your door. Couriers cannot deliver to P.O. boxes.
Backorders
Dispatched as soon as stock arrives — we'll keep you posted.
Tracking
You'll receive a tracking number by email when your order is dispatched.

Click & Collect

Choose Click & Collect at checkout — it's free — and pick up from either Auckland showroom once you receive the ready-for-collection message.

Damaged or missing items

Please notify us of any damaged goods in writing within 7 days of delivery — claims after this period can't be accepted. Keep the original packaging for any damage claim.

Email a photo and your order number to sales@galaxylighting.nz and we'll arrange a replacement or refund.

All our lights comply with NZ standards, and a Supplier's Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) is available on request. We recommend all electrical work be carried out by a licensed electrician. Product finishes and colours may appear slightly different in person as monitors vary — this is not considered a defect.
